Overview of project

CHP was engaged for development and construction services from concept through to construction of the Stage 1 Ripley Town Centre. Ripley Valley is one of the largest new developments in South East Queensland creating over 50,000 new dwellings in the next 20 years. Stage 1 of the Town Centre includes a major shopping centre, commercial buildings, residential dwellings of different densities and a community centre. We undertook the development concept and financial feasibility, negotiated agreements with major tenants, and managed lodgement of the development and operational works approvals for Stage 1.

Following approvals, CHP subsequently acted as the design and project manager, resulting in a 5-star Green Building Council rated product. The design incorporated one of the largest solar installations on a building of its type. We managed the tender process for the major construction contractor and appointed Hutchinson Builders. Providing full project management services during construction, CHP conducted the contract administration and led the site teams to achieve the best financial, quality and time results for the client. The completion cost was well under budget and the client was pleased with the high quality of design and environmental measures achieved.
