Overview of project
CHP provided end-to-end development and project management services for the Park Ridge Town Centre including hands-on representation for the Principal. We managed the financial assessment and due diligence process for the client leading up to the purchase of the site. We subsequently negotiated with the tenants, prepared feasibilities and developed the concept for a 13,000m2 extension to the existing shopping centre. The project involved an extensive consultation and negotiation phase with Logan City Council for development approval, including assistance during a complex planning appeal by a third-party submitter.
Once approvals were obtained, CHP managed a large civil works package over 100,000m3, and acted as the design manager through to preparation of the building tender. As construction Project Manager, we supervised the construction contractor and administered the construction contract up until the centre opening. With the investor client being based in Western Australia, CHP was able to act as the hands-on representative for the Principal to achieve a superior result and look after their interests. The project was completed under budget.
